Acually "Kefe" is the f******n that is cut from you during circumsicion. There are no swear words in the Samoan language, just bad tones in which certain words are used, such as "kefe" or "ufa". "Ufa" means the backend or the butt of a thing. However, when used in a bad tone, it could mean anything including "f**k You" but it has been widely accepted by the latter Samoan generation as meaning "f**k You". Kefe is harsh because when said in a bad tone, it means they are "cutting you off from them". As i said before, there are no swear words in the Samoan language, just bad tones in which certain words are used.

Kefe is quite the opposite of a polite greeting and most Samoan males will give you about half a second to determine whether you're being serious or not before caving in your skull. Talofa (TAH-lo-fah) is hello in Samoan and sole! (SO-leh) is the traditional greeting properly described above. I am a 6'6" 300lb Samoan male and I highly recommend you ignore the previous post.
