what does e4 mean on temp digital display for wine cooler

   I was told by the manufacturer that it was a "sensor" problem but which sensor they did not say. I have a friend that has the same wine cooler and thesame E4 reading and has had the mother board replaced and it still does not work. The biggest problem is that the company Avanti is helpful with this problem. I had a refrigerator company come out and look at mine, he unplugged some wires and plugged them back in and the E4 was gone and the unit was working; however only for about 3 days and it is back....no clue what to do now!
