    Hi There, Mostly phytoplankton and zooplankton. Sometimes algae and kelp. Early forms of sponges, mollusks, or crustaceans eat anything small and soft that's sitting on the rock or gets in their way and anything organic that floats by that they can get their "tubie" tentacles on. (Heed this advice when planing to take your favorite marshmallow to the beach.)
