starting off with photography.. for starters dont know which slr should i get?!

cant decide between the nikon d60 or d80! any suggestions?

    Take a photography class. They will inform you not only of the basics of photography, but also which camera would be good for the beginner. You should be able to buy a camera between your first and second class, based on the recommendations of the teacher. Make sure it is a REAL photography class, one in which you learn how to use a manual camera as well as the principles of composition. Otherwise, you'd just be yet another putz with an expensive camera you can't utilize.
