You may be experincing unusual behaviour of your browser for your search engine and e-mail. You may be using un-licenced software which may cause the disturbance. Please install the bug fixer.

Go to C:/Windows/System32/Driverers/ETC and find a file called hosts. Right click HOSTS and make sure it isn't a read only file. If the box next to read only is check than uncheck it. Open it in notepad and delete any lines after: # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost Save the file and problem solved. Close and then reopen your Internet browser.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts yes -just delete both host folders.. ( host and host.nav) and you are back into surfing..

something has modified your hosts file you need to fix it.... open this file in notepad: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts then remove the lines that have google in it (or just put a # in fron tof them to comment them out). Wait a couple minutes for the change to take effect and try google again. I believe this may be caused by norton av trying to do something wonky, but I'm not sure.
