rodents in your wall

Hello

We ahve bought a place but there seems to be some kind of rodent in the wall.I have put traps up in our crawl space to no avail.I did put some rat poison down as well and some of the poison has been consumed.With that beind said and from anywere that I can see were they would be able to get in I have blocked off I have used steel wool were possible as well steel mesh which is thick enough so they cannot chew through.So if any one has suggestons it would be greatly appreicated.
