   Hi, It is an RCA. Not very reliable when compared with other brands. Also, set is going on 10 years of age. That is about all the life there is in most RCA sets. So, if you did fix it there is a very high likelyhood that another failure would come along soon afterwards. The set has shut down because the protection circuit detected a short circuit somewhere in the set. They are usually hard to find and expensive to repair. The older the set, the more expensive the repair. I suspect, based on one of the colors failing, the problem is related to the high voltage generator; there is one generator, but 3 outputs for the three projection guns. If so, and it is just an educated guess at this moment, the repair is always in the $300 plus area - and parts are sometimes hard to find. This set is over the age where repairs would be recommended, so you might want to think very carefully about whether to repair or invest the money into a new unit.
