i had my root canal removed 7 weeks ago. unfortunately i pulled out a bone splinter just a few weeks after it was removed. i thought the worst was over but as time goes by i can see a white object starting to protrude from the inside of my gums. if my tongue touches it (which luckily for now is very rare) it's bothersome. im afraid it might get worse as time goes on though. what is this? is it my tooth socket? is it broken? my dentist saw it a few weeks ago and said it should go away but is seems unlikely that this white object (which i assume is bone) can go away by itself. any help or advice
