Should ballet dancers be overweight or skinny?

Hi i have been in ballet for a long time almost 9 years now and i am only thirteen, so i'm very self conciouse about my weight. I feel over weight and so i diet but my friends say otherwise. Please help me

     Hello. I believe that ballet dancers have to go slim in order to learn the art of ballet. This has nothing to do with going anorexic and I believe that proper diet should be maintained even by ballet dancers to get full nutrition or it may affect your feet while dancing.
    I recommend that you eat enough proteins and greens and so that you can have enough muscle to dance and be strong. You are not healthy enough to dance you might lack balance and fall during twists and turns while dancing. Take loads of calcium enriched foods as you want to keep growing with healthy bones, so you can stay strong.
    Keep your diet in perspective as you grow. You may be heading for changes where you do gain weight but as you finish growing everything evens out.
    Just eat good healthy foods and enjoy your dancing.
