Question:

my intertherm mac 1165 pilot light won't stay lit.

I can get it lit when the furnace is cooled off long enough. but have to hold control nob in for long periods with several attemps to light the pilot, then might stay for 1 minute or 1 day then starts to go out again. Sometimes it will go for months without going out but then like 3 to four times a day it will go out. PLEASE HELP ME FRUSTRATED

    I changed the thermocouple at the pilot light and that fixed the problem.
