molting naked hermit crab. my hermit crab had just molted, and i understand this is very stressful

my hermit crab had just molted, and i understand this is very stressful to them. when i looked in the tank this morning, i find that he is now naked. i dont want to bother him as i read you are not supposed to when they molt, but i am freaking out that he is naked! what can i do?

if u can carfully take the crab out and you allready have a bigger shell than continue reading

take out the crab and put it in a large cup with the shell in the cup to. leave him/her alone with the shell. this takes away stress. if he does not get into the shell within 1-3 hours try to give him more options of shells. if he does not get into one within half an hour put him in the tank again with ALL shells possible. take out all " toys " that he can fall off of and keep an eye on him. i am not sure what to do if he still does not get into a shell because mine got into one about 1 hour after molting. i hope i could help
