   obviously the actually movie is fake.... the question is, was this based on true life events? you can take a true life event and twist it a bit to create a major motion picture, so for those who think this isnt real just because the movie doesnt have actual footage.... i would say your jumping the gun... still researching... very curious!!!

   ok to answer the question about news coverage, why on earth would the press plaster a story about some demonic possesion all over the television?? my explination is that the story is real, they found the tape, figured no one would believe that this chick was possesed by a "demon" so the press was never informed, the footage got leaked and some dumb director decided to turn this poor girls horrific experience into a motion picture and is now making millions of it for his own sick amusement. personally i feel bad for the girls family and for mica's as well.

   With this said "footage" and wondering why there is two endings is beacuse the actual footage was never recovered. I can however tell you is that two endings just turn to three endings!!!! You got the one that was in theaters where she disappeared, Then there is one with her cutting her throat, here is the last ending the Officers had shot her in the master bedroom. The only reason to explain this the camera had run out of tape to record on. To this day she is missing no had found her body or know where she is. It is said that once she was taken by the evil spirit and now walks amongst us here in her body hiding and creeping around every corner and let it be she could have started a new family!!!!!

   Has no one read that the director moved into a house & started hearing stuff & decided to set up a video recording & thats what inspired the movie but nothing happened to the extent of this movie.

   Well actually, you can die and be missing.. in the other ending, when she slit her throat, she was possessed, maybe the demon possessing her moved her somewhere nobody could find? It's all about probability and such. I just saw the movie and I'm trying to figure out the story myself. I've done a bit of digging and I must say I don't really believe its real. It looks real, but we can't be certain.
