   While the movie, paranormal activity was shot at the directors' house and it had taken inspiration from personal experience,but still a lot of the dramatics were added in the movie. When he and his girlfriend moved into their new home, the house began to settle and made noise as a result. Though the director has not confirmed that he experienced any form of paranormal activity, he does mention that some of the movie is based on fact.
