Discovered approx 3-4mo injured baby wild turkey last night. It has a head injury, with small wound, possible puncture wound on top of head. There is also a lump. Baby responds slowly to outside influences. I scattered seeds to bring hen and chicks back and baby very slowly moved away peeping as it went. Hen and chicks came back, but other than she and I scaring off a fox, they ignored each other. I have the baby in a cage that I had used for an injured goose. It has water and seeds and straw. The baby is moving around, but both eyes are closed and the head is tilted to one side. I don't believe that it has had any water, not sure if I should use a dropper. As far as I know, Tufts is the only place that will make an attempt with wild birds and that is extremely expensive. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
