how do I troubleshoot a runaway temp problem on a Frigidaire oven?

I have an issue that just started with my Frigidaire GLEFZ379FC. I'm getting the F10 error code. I remove and checked the resistance of the oven probe and all is good. I put the oven back together, powered up and set it to bake @ 350, just so I could watch it. Only the upper element seemed to work and glowed cherry red. I rec'd the same code again after about 7-10 min and the oven temp was 450 degrees (I placed an oven thermometer inside).
My question is do I need to and is there a way a way to check the EOC? Something is amiss as it seems that the upper element is doing all the work and is not being controlled by the temp settings
Any advice would be appreciated.
