I personally think phone calls should be private. I want to know your opinion about should the government have the right to listen in on private citizens" phone calls? According to your ethical position, should this be allowed?

There shouldn't be phone tapping or something that really violates someones privacy. Many security agencies tap or listen phone calls which is unethical and immoral. In my opinion this should be stopped. Security agencies should take others measures for security. This is totally against the law.

Hello and thanks for your question. I assume you\"re referring to terrorism-related cases so I\"ll give you my answer in that narrow context.
I believe that the government should be allowed to listen in on phone conversations of those people in this country who are believed to be in contact with terrorists or be involved in terrorist activities.
    I hope this helps you.

Black's Law Dictionary defined Eavesdropping as it is the act of secretly listening to the private conversation of others without their consent. This is commonly thought to be unethical and there is an old adage that eavesdroppers seldom hear anything good of themselves.
Well I personally think there is no straight answer to this question. The government should do it, where is an individuals privacy. If the government doesnot do it then it will decrease their effectiveness against terrorists and the oher bad guys. So what should be done then? Just like countries have exit control lists and those who are criminals, fugitives or wanted have their name on that exit control list similarly governments should have such a list and may be like for a search warrant they should go to the court to for an approval or something. But we should sit down and talk over it and make some kind of system for it because being humans’ privacy is the of great importance to us.
