I have eating 3 eggs a day for the last 4 day either boiled or omlette with mixed vegtables for fibre in my omlette for 2 weeks im not eating any bread rice pasta or cereals only protein based foods with vegtables and skimmed milk or fat free yogurt, my question is will too much egg white cause constipation?

    HI, There are several things that can cause constipation. One problem in particular is rampant in the U.S. now and that is adrenal fatigue. The adrenal glands are responsible for holding water in your intestines. If your adrenal glands are fatigued, this process won't happen and you will get constipated. Many things cause adrenal fatigue. Drinking lots of sodas, eating sugar, eating a diet high in carbohydrates, low fat, low salt diets are a big factor. You need salt for your adrenal glands to function properly, but that Morton Salt ("when it rains, it pours") junk is one of the worst things you can put into your mouth. Air dried sea salt is very good for you and you should be getting about 1/4 tsp. per quart of water you drink for proper hydration. Bad digestion is another problem. Again, eating good salt is important for good digestion. These looney toons that tell you to eat a low salt diet are just ignorant of how the body works. Salt does NOT cause high blood pressure. There are NO studies that show this. Doctors show their ignorance of nutrition when they recommend low salt diets. If you eat lots of fiber and have the adrenal problem, you will only make the constipation worse, not better. If you are not producing enough stomach acid, you will not be digesting your food well and this can cause toxic build up in your intestines and liver. This will cause the constipation as well. You also want to make sure you are properly hydrated. The average person needs water at the following rate: Take your total body weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of water in ounces that you need to drink each and everyday. Along with that, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of "air dried sea salt" in conjunction with each quart of water you drink. This puts the electrolytes in your body that will give you proper hydration. The typical white table salt you buy in stores like the Morton Salt, for instance, is terrible for you and has loads of chemicals added. Avoid that junk. If you drink ANY diuretic drinks like, sodas, coffee, tea, alcohol, commercially prepared fruit drinks, energy drinks, etc., these all dehydrate you and you will need to add more water to the total to compensate for the water loss due to these diuretic drinks. Take the total ounces of the diuretic drinks and multiply by 1.5 and add that total to the original total to come up with the proper amount of water you need to drink each day. A Certified Nutritional Therapist can test you for specific nutritional deficiencies and not have to guess if you are deficient in a nutrient or not and they can recommend diets, etc. that will make you healthy and not have this problem.
