can i replace the hard drive in my fostex vf 160 with one with more gigs or am i limited to 20.

can i go to micro center and buy a 3.5 ide with higher gigs ? will the machine recognize the higher gigs or do i need to stick with 20 gigs?what brands are compatible? thanx.
