   The major responsibility of an Advertising Manager is to develops, implements, and maintains the company's advertising strategy both from a business, sales perspective. It is their job to start and manage discussion and sales with sponsor and companies. Their responsibility is to negotiate on different agreements with outside sales representatives, in order to manage the development of sales materials, including media kits. They are generally responsible for managing a group of advertising sales representatives, as they collectively work for the promotion of company's products or services. Advertising managers observe any campaign their companies or clients use to promote themselves, by using radio to television to newspapers to the Internet. Ad managers put a reinforcement spin on what their company is presenting, and occasionally, how it is better in the competition. They are responsible to create ads, coming up with catch phrases centered several campaigns, and just generally focusing their company's best attributes. As many of the advertising departments work with computer programs, so it is suggested that an ad manager will likely need at least a basic understanding of technology.
   Several companies prefer candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree when hiring an advertising manager. Many managers have to coordinate during working at the lower levels of the profession, or with a marketing or sales team, before being promoted into a supervisory level.
