I have these tiny white, almost glowing, flying insect on my birch tree. They are not white fly. They kind of look like aphids, but they are not attacking my tomato plants which are right next to the birch. You don't seem them until you get near the tree or shake it, then all h**l breaks loose and there are hundreds flying around. I caught one in a jar, it has six legs and two antenae and two wings, but doesn't quite look like the aphid I see in the aphid picks online. Not the pear shaped body, its thinner. What could it be?
