   Human Whistling is a production of sound which is made be controlling the flow of air through a small hole. Whistling has different uses, it can be musical, many performers are professional whistlers and many singers use their whistle to create a unique sound effect in their songs. Some of the famous whistlers were Ronnie Ronald. There are different types of whistles. One of the famous whistle is known as Pucker whistling and it is used in most western music. In this type of whistling the tongue tip is lowered, and then by controlling the movement of the tongue a unique voice can be controlled.
   Many musicians also use and position their lips in a way to control a good quality tone. There is another type of whistling known as jazz whistling. There are also whistling competition which are help by the International Whistlers Convention in the USA.
   A part from musicians the whistling is also used for different purposes like for instance calling someone or to catch and capture the attention of a person. It has become a method of communication between two people and person. Whistling also has its significance in different cultures and different cultures have different believes regarding it.
   In case of categorizing it as a bad or good norm, I think it depends upon the purpose you are using it for. For example if you are using it meaningfully like in a song or to make any kind of node then it is observed as ok and fine, since it has become part of cultural and modern day music. On the other hand its non functional use has some reservations like it you are just using it outdoor or in a formal environment then it will be considered as rude. Like you cannot whistle in a classroom or in a formal meeting or in a restaurant but you can use it out in a loud musical environment.
