Model MH6150XM has started making a very loud humming sound when it is running. It still heats so should we try to get it fixed or will it be cheaper to get a new one? Can we still use it like this until we decide what to do?

    Chances are the magnetron is going bad. Is the internal cooling fan still running at the proper speed and strength when you cook? It's the one that comes on automatically, not the hood vent exhaust fan, which you can turn on and off manually.
