Black widow is the specie of spiders who eat the male right after the mating is completed. It is often said that the male (usually considerably lesser than the feminine, down to 1% of her dimensions for Tidarren sisyphoides), is probable to be slain by the feminine after the coupling, or occasionally before intercourse has occurred. This presumed propensity is what provided the Black Widow Spider, Latrodectus mactans its name.
