Cynthia Sommer was convicted in January 2007 for the murder of her husband, Sgt Todd Sommer. She was later released in April 2008 after lab tests made her conviction hugely questionable.

Hello, Cynthia Arlene Sommer, 35, is an American former prisoner who was convicted on January 30, 2007 of the murder of her husband. Sommer was first accused of poisoning her Marine husband, Sgt. Todd Sommer, with arsenic in order to cash in on his $250,000 serviceman's group life insurance policy. He collapsed February 18, 2002, in the couple’s bedroom at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, and later died at a hospital. Sommer allegedly utilized a portion of the money to buy breast implants and go on shopping sprees not long after her husband's death. Hope it helps
