    Its not been very long when Pakistan went on to beat West Indies in a world cup match. In the 1999 World Cup, Pakistan was successful against the West Indies in their opening match played at Bristol. Pakistan scored a total of 229 runs for the lost of 8 wickets with the help of captain Wasim Akram who scored 43 runs of just 29 balls faced. The West Indies were bundles out for 202 by some good bowling from the medium pacer Abdul Razzaq who got 3 wickets for 32 runs from 10 overs.
