I have a 2005VTX1800which I bought as a leftover with no miles on it in the spring of 2007. I have 13000 miles on it now and had to replace the rear wheel bearings. I take very good care of it and it has never been wrecked or beaten, my question is, is this normal for this model I have friends with Valkerys and Gold Wings which use the same rear and they have never had a problem, some of them have 50000 and more miles on their machines. I ope this is a fluke the bearing on the gear side was ready to come apart.
