Most reffer to it as a coin but I believe back in the Colonial period, they were referd to as caps. It has a picture of an eagle in flight. There appears to be two olive branches in his grasp. Below that are the numbers 8528178. There is a small star above the date 1776 on the left side of the coin. And another star on the right side. It looks to be some pretty detailed work for the minting of a coin in 1776. Lastly it has a copperish silver color to it.

It wasn't made in 1776, it was made in the 70's or 80's
