Can my primary care doctor suggest cortisone shots?

i am looking for the name of the Doctor so i can find one in my area! i am supposed to get the shot in my shoulder. Thanks for your help

    Cortisone is a type of steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. First you should consult your primary care Doctor. He will suggest rather you need a cortisone or not. You can also see an orthopedist. Ask your primary care Doctor for a referral if needed.

    when i had mine done it was my GP that did it and my orthopedic surgeon.

    has your GP not done it or some one else in the practise they must know how to.
