   Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday that Raymond David was issued after the fee of bloodmoney (Diyat) in agreement with Shariat Law of Pakistan. Talking in a PTV events she said that it was the stance of the government that the issue of Davis would be determined by the court of law. She said that as asserted by the settlement, the families of Lahore shootout victims pardoned Davis, after getting body-fluid money. To a inquiry the Minister said that Raymond Davis case was registered and tested in Punjab court and Punjab regulation minister Rana Sanaullah verified the case town through his statement. “If he talks contrary to his own party’s principle or conclusion, It was his lawful right”, she remarked. She said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had guaranteed on the Seerat Conference that the topic of Davis would be determined by the court. She emphasized that political parties are seeking to exploit and use this topic for political tallying which was not in the nationwide interest.
