I recently purchased an Everett studio. I was told it was from the 70's but upon looking up serial numbers found that it was really from the 50's. I teach and have sold my old piano which was a Story and Clark console. The tone of the Everett is so much richer than my old piano. I would really like to know if I have purchased one of the workhorses you mentions. It originally was the blonde color you mentioned but the technition/tuner had painted it ebony. I have him coming to work out some minor problems Monday morning. I have not been satisfied as now two keys are sticking due to humidity. ((small is is not being held by the damper pedal, there is a twanging sound from the bass strings after you play them). I was assured they are minor problems that can be fixed. I requested a warranty on the piano and was given a 3 year warranty. I paid $1200 for it and am a bit upset that it is a good 20 years older than I was originally told. So if you can give me some idea of what serial numbers the workhorses were made that will clue me in I would appreciate it. I would like some ammo for tomorrow. Thanks! Connie
