A baby octopus is about the size of a flea at birth. Flea is the common name for insects which are wingless insects with mouthparts adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood. The size of a flea is 1/16 to 1/8-inch (1.5 to 3.3 mm) long. So when the baby octopus is born it is of approximately same size.
