The genetic defect is called an albino and can be for any species of animals including humans. There is a lack of pigmentation in the skin that causes the animal to be white, and for the same reason why the eyes are red. The lack of pigmentation in the eyes leaves you seeing the red blood vessels within. Albinos are rare and can be found across several species, some known animals include deer, snakes, crocodiles, and even humans.
