What is the Rate of interest for Saving Bank Ordinary Account?

My uncle suggested me to open Saving Bank Ordinary account in Bank of India. I want to know the rate of interest for it.

    3.5% p.a, will be calculated on daily product basis from 01.04.2010 and will be credited twice in a year in Feb and August or at the time of closing A/c.
