   The Art of Responsive Drawing has been both gratifying and informing. It is gratifying because in my views that how we efficiently come to interpret and operate in the great realm of drawing extend to encounter with the satisfaction of numerous art educators, pupils, and professional artists; and informing, because it facilitates to give new shape to it more efficiently according to their needs. Responsive Drawing excites via the perceptions accrued in consultations and correspondence with artists about how to further reinforce the topic and spirit. Also, my continuing experiences as an artist and educator have had their inevitable impact on how I current the shell for drawings that come alive and contact in terms that can be interpreted universally.
   Responsive artists are those who want to produce permanent their impressions of, and experiences with, something they perceive or envision. They do so via harnessing the visual coerces that will abstractly advocate and energize a drawing’s depiction. The responsive artist’s comprehension of a subject’s appearance and of the dynamic coerces accustomed to convey it compose the give and-take between a drawing’s “what” and “how”; it is this give-and-take that shapes the drawing’s content—the total impact of its configuration. It is the responsive artist’s perceptions and breakthroughs that produce a drawing an invention instead an inventory of what was perceived or imagined.
