Question:

What is causing all these little dime-sized holes in my yard?

They are appearing in increasing numbers mostly in dead patches of grass in my yard. They appear to have no pattern or uniform spacing. I live in southwestern Pennsylvania. The ground does seem spongier. They seem too small to be made by moles, even though we have found grubs in the yard. What about earthworm holes? There doesn't appear to be small piles of dirt nearby or molehills for that matter. Just very strange....
