What is High School like in Canada?

Particularly in Scarborough or even in Toronto.
I'm from Philippines and just graduated from high school but we only have until grade 10 here so i'll be grade 11 if I go there. But my visa is not yet done by september, probably october and I can go there november or december. Can I still enroll even it's too late in the first semester? or I will just enroll in 2nd semester which is february right? Can I catch up the credits, I can take summer classes and those ap classes.
What do you think btw if a foreign student comes in your school?
Can i still join clubs in 2nd semester?
