What happened to MD7309u Gateway Laptop (Burgundy) from Best Buy?

   I have one and it is running fine. I like it better than HP. The only problem That I had was the battery life is short. I am on my third one, but my warranty covered it at bestbuy.

   Bought my wife and I both one and have had tons of problems.  Wireless wont work on mine.  "w" key keeps popping off on hers, and worst of all both batteries have intermittant charging problems to which they gave temporary fixes for like taking battery out and doing a litany of bs to get them working just until the warranty ran out and then they told me I should just buy another battery.  Love how they work, but defective pieces of c**p.  And gateway tech support if you want to call it that, is ridiculous.  Little to no help there!  Bought gateway for the last time.

   I also bought 2 of them as gifts for my kids - they're not using them yet but I must say I'm petrified for how they'll work out - since they're nowhere to be seen anymore. I hope we are as successful with their use as the writer above mentioned. I am concerned about the quality of the webcams and if there are any options to update the webcam programs that are installed - I thought they seemed far too basic, as for features available & grainy pictures. Any thoughts as to if you can install 'anycam' or another webcam software for them to run on ?

   Yes the battery life for it is about 3hrs and 40mins. Just depending what I am doing is how long it last but its always been about 3hrs and some times I get the full time but looking into getting a better battery for it will let you no what i find..

I have been checking all around and cant find it anywhere now that Best Buy has sold all of them that they had nation wide and scared me to but if you need any help with it just contact Gateway are Best Buy and they are more then willing to help out with anything you need. From what I found out it was a Best Buy only and a one of a kind from Gateway and they will not be making any more of this one. So two things I am so glade I got this when I did it is a great computer for that price you cant find any others out there with what this has for the price. Also glade I got the extended warranty for it. I love my Gateways and the service I get from them and Best Buy any time I have had any problems hope this helps you. Just feel as lucky as I do for getting this computer when you where able to.
