I'm very confused on all of this gauge stuff for piercings. When I got my cartilage ear pierced, the guy put a nose ring in and not a hoop gauge. I changed it after a month and put in a normal earring stud. Now I have been looking around online and have noticed that the earring studs I'd like for my cartilage is 18-16. What size should I change my earring too?
