How can we avoid depression, what are the complications that can arise from depression, what are some of the dangerous symptoms of Depression, how these complications can effect the lifestyle of a person?

    Dysthymia most commonly occurs in tandem with some other psychiatric and physical condition. There are upto 70 percent of dysthymic patients that have both dysthymic disorder and other major depressive disorder which are known as double depression. Patients with depression were found with abuse, panic disorders, personality disorders, social phobias and other psychiatric conditions. Dysthmia is prevalent in patients who have the medical conditions such as Hypothroidism, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis and PostCardiac transplantation.
    The connection between dysthmic disorder and these medical conditions is not clear so far, but it can be related to the way the medical condition or its pharmacological treatment affects the neurotransmitters. Some of these Systhymic disorder can be lengthen or even complicate the recovery of patients who are suffering from this type of medical conditions. Apart from the feeling of depression, people with dysthmic disorder experience two or more symptoms on the daily basis for quite some period of time.

    Under or Overeating
    Insomnia or Hypersomnia
    Low Energy or Fatigue
    Low Self Esteem
    Poor Concentration or Trouble Making decisions
    Altered Libido
    Altered Appetite
    Altered Motivation
    Feelings of Hopelessness
    Healthy lifestyle habits help in the prevention of depression or also reduce the chance of it happening again. These habits are eating properly, sleeping adequately, exercising regularly, learning to relax and not drinking alcohol or drugs.
