I do not know much about Neon gas. Do you know what charge does a Neon ion have? Please tell me!

Neon is usually considered to be inert having no true neutral compounds.
Neon is the chemical element symbolizes as Ne. It has an atomic number of 10. It is rare on Earth although a very common element in the universe,. It is colorless, inert noble gas under standard conditions, neon glows a distinct reddish-orange light when it is used in either low-voltage neon glow lamps or in high-voltage discharge tubes or neon advertising signs boards. Neon is commercially extracted from air. It is only found in trace amounts. After helium, neon is the second-lightest noble gas. Neon also has the narrowest liquid range of any element. It ranges from 24.55 K to 27.05 K (−248.45 °C to −245.95 °C, or −415.21 °F to −410.71 °F). It has over 40 times more capacity of refrigerating of liquid helium and three times as compared to liquid hydrogen In many applications it is considered as a less expensive refrigerant as compared to helium. Neon plasma produces most intense light discharge at normal voltages and currents of all the noble gases. To the human eye, the average color of this light is red-orange due to many lines in this range; also containing a strong green line which is hidden, unless the visual components are dispersed by a spectroscope. Two type of Neon lighting have commonly in use. Neon glow lamps are required about 100–250 volts to operate. They have been widely operated as power-on indicators and in circuit-testing equipment. Now Light-emitting diodes (LED's) now dominate in such type of applications.
