    According to the latest news reports the central North Island hill country from Kawhia, Otorohanga and Tokoroa southwards to Tongariro National Park, including northern and inland Taranaki, and the upper reaches of the Whanganui river Further periods of heavy rain are expected today and early tomorrow. In the 21 hours from 9am Saturday to 6am Sunday, 75-100mm of rain is expected in some places.
