    Prostate Cancer Causes:
The cause of prostate cancer is unknown, but the cancer is not thought to be related to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The risk (predisposing) factors for prostate cancer include advancing age, genetics (heredity), hormonal influences, and such environmental factors as toxins, chemicals, and industrial products. The chances of developing prostate cancer increase with age. Thus, prostate cancer under age 40 is extremely rare, while it is common in men older than 80 years of age. As a matter of fact, some studies have suggested that among men over 80 years of age, 50%-80% of them may have prostate cancer! More than 80% of prostate cancers are diagnosed in men older than 65 years of age.

The cause of prostate cancer is unknown, but hormonal, genetic, environmental, and dietary factors are thought to play roles. The following risk factors have been linked with development of this condition:
    • Age
    • Race
    • Genetic factors
    • Infection
    • Chemical agents

Prostate cancer starts in the prostate gland. Prostate is a part of the reproductive system in man. It is wrapped around the urethra. Nowadays PSA testing enables to detect prostate cancer easily and the symptoms of these cancers can easily be found. There are some general symptoms of prostate cancer but most of these symptoms are associated with the noncancerous conditions. Some of these symptoms are:
    Urinary Hesitance
Dribbling of urination, especially after the urination
    Retention of Urination
    Pain with Urination
    Pain with Ejaculation
    Pain in the lower back
Pain in the Movement of Bowel
Some of the symptoms that can occur with this disease are:
    Excessive urination at night
    Leakage of Urination
Pain in the bones or tenderness
    Blood in the urine
    Abdominal pain
    Low red blood cell count
    Unintentional weight loss
The causes of prostate cancer are still unknown, some studies suggest that there is a relationship between high and dietary intake of the fat and also the increased level of testerone. Prostate cancer is the third largest common cause of death from cancer in men of all ages and is also the common cause of death from cancer in men over 75. It is very rarely found in men who are younger than 40.
People who are at high risk of having prostate cancer are:
    African American men
Men who are older than 60
    Tire plant workers
Men who have been exposed to cadmium.
