    Three cups of tea is one of bestselling book of New York Times, which is written by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. It was published in 2006 by Penguin. The main themes of the book are to bring about the significance of education, empowerment of women, bridging culture in the ruler area of Pakistan and Afghanistan. The book accounts Mortenson's progression from mountain-climber to a humanitarian committed to minimizing poverty and encouraging education for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Following the beginnings of his humanitarian struggles, Mortenson became originator of the Central Asia Institute, a non-profit group that, as of 2010, has overseen the building over 171 schools. Recently these schools are giving education to over 64,000 children, including 54,000 girls.The book's title associated with Balti culture "as in Balti, the first time you share tea with a native, you are a stranger. But if you shared the tea second time, you are an honored guest, While if you shared third time, you become family. In 1993, an experienced and famous mountaineer Greg Mortenson tried to climb K2, the world's second highest mountain, in order to repay the remote community for its hospitality; He promised to build a school for the village, while accomplishing his goal, HE faced several daunting challenges in his quest to raise funds for the building of more than 55 schools in Taliban territory.
