What age do you have to be to drive a car in the UK? I don't care if the licence is provisional, you need accompaniment or anything, just what is the minimum age to drive?

at 17 you can apply for a provisional licence. with this you can drive as long as you are insured and accompanied by someone who is over 21 and has had a full driving licence for over 3 years. you then need to pass the dreaded driving test before you can drive solo.
