I would strongly recommend that you consider attending your local community college and stay away from those online colleges that you are describing. Congress is currently having hearings on the for profit online college industry. Many of them are being investigated for financial aid fraud and illegal recruitment practices. They tell you it is financial aid and it is really a government loan that you MUST pay back. These online colleges get the money and you keep the loan and the credits you earn from these online colleges cannot be transferred anywhere. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ONLINE COLLEGES!
