I have a Westinghouse 2610 monitor that is about a year old. I had it connected to my powerbook G4 (running Leopard) through the mini DVI port and had no problems with it. I recently got a new MacbookPro (running Snow Leopard). It doesn't have a DVI port, only an HDMI. With a new HDMI cable, the monitor works but randomly switches to a screen full of grey snow. The only way I can "fix" it is to power off the monitor then power on again. This is only a band-aid solution as the problem keeps recurring.
