I would feed it and provide water. At night it would roost in a tree in our yard. We put it in a rabbit hutch but he didn't seem to like it. He never really flew much, like to hang around the yard. So we have built him a coop. We are just about completed with the coop and all of the sudden the pigeon only comes every other day to eat and only stays about 40 mins. . I think he or she is about 5 or 6 months old. We rescued this pigeon as when it show up here it was starving and couldn't fly from lack of food and water. After contacting the owner through the leg band info he did not want him back. Any thoughts on what's up with new behavior would be helpful Thanks so much.
