I have a question which is related to the password hacking known as salami attack. I want to know that how the salami attack can be prevented?

A salami attack is an attack on a computer network which involves the intruder drawing off small amounts of money from a file and placing them in another file that he or she can access. For example, a file that holds their bank account details. A typical salami attack would add a small amount to a debit which the account holder may not bother checking. Such as a debit which represented a service charge. This small increase in debit which is often a few pence or a few cents would then be credited to the perpetrator's bank account. An unprofessional banking system which just checked that debits and credits matched would be unable to detect this type of fraud. The name ‘salami attack’ comes from the fact that salami is cut into very thin slices and is also known as salami shaving. In the salami technique, cyber criminals steal money or resources quite remarkably. The key here is to make the amendment so unimportant that in a single case it would go completely unnoticed. However, it can be prevented using the following ways: 1. Analyze the source code which is somehow quite difficult. 2. Find indications of an attack, like an account that grows without deposit transactions. 3. Random audits, especially of financial data, will pick up a pattern of discrepancies and lead to discovery of the attack. 4. What appear to be errors in computer-based financial or other accounting systems must not be ignored as there can also be some loop holes.
