Why not? Does parenthood rule out a political career? Being a single parent doesn't seem to stop any of our Australian politicians from holding down a job. The serious question is, how much time does he have to devote to his children, what age are they, what other support does he have to assist him to spend time with his kids. It might help him to have some insight into what normal everyday people have to struggle with.
