I think it depends on what you like in a James Bond character. I loved the action Brosnan displayed in his character... except Rodger was pretty good as he didn't just sleep with every girl he met...

Hands down Sean Connery is the best from all of them. He is a gentleman and a great actor. No one can compare to him.

As someone who watched most of them over and over, I'd immediately knock George off the list. He just didn't do it for me.

Roger Moore brought unique humour to the part, but some of the scripts he had to work with bordered on dire.

I really enjoyed Timothy Dalton's two films. Ok, so the poor guy didn't get the chance to womanise as much as his predecesors {due to the views of the time}, but he was excellent in the action sequences.

Pierce Brosnan had originally been offered the Tim Dalton films, but was commited to an ongoing series. By the time he took over, good as he was, the films focused too much on gadgets.

I haven't seen the Daniel Craig film. Jason Isaacs would have been my choice...

So, with Sean, Roger and Pierce tied in second, my vote goes to Timothy Dalton.

Ok look, I Know Sean Connery is The Man. He was the 1st & most people on the planet consider him The Bond of all Bonds...& I can totally understand that. He's cool...but not my favorite.That position is for Roger Moore in my book!

He's the Bond I grew up with. My 1st Bond film on the big screen was "The Spy Who Loved Me". (1977)

Roger was the longest running Bond, he was the 1st only true Englishman (til this new guy) of the bunch. The rest were Scottish, Irish, Welsh, etc.

Don't care what anyone says, but Roger's Lotus Esprit beats all of the rest. The one that converted to a submarine! That thing still looks cool today!

And if we're comparing Sean's Bond & Roger's, I'll have Roger's Nice Guy Bond. Sean went around slapping women. Not good.... Roger's Bond would make em laugh.

I think, like Ringo Starr, it's become 'cool' to make fun of Roger. But his contribution to the Bond series is just as significant as the others. Just that his Bond was light-hearted & appealed to many kids. I guess his Bond was a totally reflection of the times; Disco, movie special fx becoming a huge part of action films, etc. Each Bond is a reflection of the times & that has to be considered before judging them.

As the song goes, (for a ROGER MOORE Bond film!): "Nobody Does it Better"

Bond...James Bond. He's my man! But WHICH bond, do you ask? I agree with Fonz about Sean being THE Bond. He was the REAL Playboy. By the way, did you know that one of the Bond "women" was a Transgender? Unfortunately, Mr. Bond didn't know that at the time of filming that steamy kiss in the raft at the end of the movie. LOL!

Anyhow, my favorite bond without a doubt is Roger Moore.

Quick bit of Roger Moore Trivia....did you know that when "Q" played by Desmond Llewelyn died, that Roger Moore was the ONLY actor that played Bond at the time of Llewelyn's death to attend Desmond's funeral. I found that report rather shocking. In fact, I've thought just a little bit LESS of the actors that didn't attend the funeral since then.

On a side note...Goldeneye 007 (Nintendo) is my favorite video game! (which belongs to my kids of course!)

Normally, I'd say Sean Connery, 'cause he's such an awesome actor, but I never really saw him as Bond, he seemed to fit weird in the role, to me.. So, I prefer Pierce Brosnan as Bond, he makes it seem that the role was written specifically for him. I liked Daniel Craig too, but the plot of Casino. was idiotic and didn't allow him space to move.

I'd say Sean Connery - his movies were the best of the group. He had an advantage in that he was the first person to play him so he filmed the best of Ian Fleming's stories. By the time you get to some of the later guys, the plots were pretty much formula and nothing to do with the original books.

Casino Royale was the first truly good Bond Movie. And Craig brought a real world edginess to the character that was refreshing.

Before Him... Sean Connery was of course the best...but the movies themselves were often laughable beyond belief.
